Todays CW finds

Had a pretty good day today. Weather was perfect, 65 degrees and slightly overcast so no snakes, bugs, or angry property owners since we have permission to hunt any time. In fact we got about another 5-8 acres of Cold harbor battlefield to hunt. Anyway,... Got out this morning and managed to bring in a good amount of cw lead, many of them dropped. Also managed to snag two cartridge box finials and a neat bullet in wood. You can see the tail end of the bullet peeking out. Overall, it was a pretty good day. Thanks for looking and HH!

Super Finds DV!!! Bullets in wood are rare to find. I have only found one in 13 years of relic hunting. WTG!!!

[It was in the size that you see, but it was probably 6" deep. I have a "warlog" that is about 5 feet long with half a dozen bullets in it from the same site. I'm in the process of cleaning it up and I'll get some pictures of it up soon.]
