I went for an hour after work and dug into sidewall of creek. There is 2 spots within 20ft of each other that have all this material. If i keep digging in sidewall do you think ill have a better shot of getting something whole. Most of these came out of a couple jabs at the sidewall. I used one of the tips and threw water all over the side wall and all kinds of stuff started to show.

I am so jealous right now.. Just keep carefully removing material from around the pieces that are there be careful you never know when you're actually hitting the tip or an ear of a beautiful point you don't want to break anything.
From the looks of things my best advice would be to go there when you have enough time to really take your time just slow down and start removing pieces slowly.. Bring a couple water bottles and keep filling them with creek water it helps a lot to pour around pieces to loosen the soil as you're removing them.. And also cleans them up so you can see better exactly what's what... you'll get good stuff.... spot like that can last you a very long time don't be in a rush.. I'm sure there's stuff in the creek there also.. I would look from several different angles very thoroughly

It looks like one big spall to me.. Basically a big flake.. Awaiting someone to turn it into something like a blank canvas . It's starting to look like you uncovered an area where a lot of tools were being made you may find a cache in a place like that.

Well in this case would be several points.." hopefully".. made from the same stone more than likely at the same general time by the same person all stashed together for future use... That's not a definition that's just my take.

Sounds like your spot would be a great project for my small suction dredge , with the water blaster. It removes all the dirt and leaves the artifacts laying there, all you need is water.HH

The one that was black might be limestone its just to hard to tell. It shows no work on top or bottom but the edges are debatable as to if there was flaking on them or not. Could be a large flake removed but I see damage on it. If it is a flake removed then there should be a "bulb of percussion" on it. There should be a flat side on the edge with a hump just below it on the side. That hump will be the bulb. If it is there it would of been removed by ancient man and not natural. I look forward to the day you find a killer in that spot, good luck rock.
