Today's relic hunt
Today I joined three other club members and hunted a site that was known for a Confederate attack on a hill near Knoxville. The hill was very steep and had a lot of brush. Was very difficult to hunt but one club member did find a dropped bullet and another found a smashed fired one. I found a lot of barbed wire, old finial, possible tent grommet and a 12 ga. Winchester Repeating shell. Research on the shell dates it 1896 to 1938.
