There does not appear to have been any pounding on the big end, so ????? Hmmm, maybe some kind of gardening tool as you said Larson. Otherwise it made an intimidating poker for all occassions. ;D I see the slash marks and can possibly hear an elder telling a youngster to go up as high as you can on that horn. Don't cut it too short now...a stern admonishment.
Love the tools, give some insight.
Another cool find. Oh, yeah, those were the best looking dirt pics I ever saw, too.

Think you may be right on the Elk antler. (good eye) Elk antler is very porous in the inner 2/3 of its core. I guess for all the blood it takes to generate the massive antler growth in less than a year.
