We looked at this one also. Liked the look of it but once we got it on the water, and had him run up the engines, they started puking oil everywhere! The boat wouldn't even get up on plane.

Unless he has fixed the engine, its not worth it.

[I wondered why it had not sold. Now we know. At the price of boat repairs...it'd have to be cheap.

If you say a boat "would not get up on plane" it means that it would not go fast enough to lift the boat out of the water so it would skim across the water instead of push through it.

From Wikipedia: Planing allows the boat to go faster by using its speed and hull shape to lift the front part of the hull out of the water. The boat travels on top of the water, greatly reducing the hydrodynamic drag on the vessel.
