two things that you could try to get more help:
1. Provide a few photos of the piece
2. Post thing in the "What is it" section of the forum (with the pics)
sounds like a cool piece :read2:

Up for auction is this fine, Vintage, mystery pin.

This badge features a top, unmarked name bar from which hangs a triangle bearing the letters OMA in black enamel.

This pin weighs 2.2 grams and measures 1 5/32" (29mm) tall.

Might be from the "Knights of Honor"

http://www.stichtingargus.nl/vrijmetselarij/r/koh_en.html

The seal or emblem of the KOH was a shield, depicting a knight with his shield arm raised. On the main shield was a triangle with the letters O.M.A.

I've seen a few triangles, but they are usually facing down...

I found a triangle with an O at the tip ,M at the left corner and an A at the right corner. the triangle is pointing up . There is a shield in the middle of the triangle . Any thoughts ??

It appears to be a Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity pin. I've never seen one like that, though. I'm a member of the frat. I have a membership pin in the same formation as your piece (triangle pointing up, O on top, M bottom left, and A bottom right). Mine has rubys and pearls though. I could send you a picture if you want. I'm very interested......

The K.O.H. was exclusively MALE.

There fore, the point of the triangle is pointed up, denoting "Masculine". If it were pointed down, it would denote feminine. This symbol dates back to years BC.

These older sects were really into the symbolism of their objects. :laughing9:
