Is it one rock, or one sitting on the other not attached?& knowing what part of the country it came from would help.

Benitoite only is found in one area of California. Has generally triangular crystals and is very fluorescent (blue) under ultraviolet light.

I found it in central California it was a cluster of dirt I originally was looking for silver or platinum. As I was it it was a matrix with the little lighter blue stone... along with a cluster of white and black clumps all sparkles.... However my brother thought he was doing me a favor and snapped all four pieces away from each other! They all respond to my fluorescent light. I am 100 miles south of San Benito however... so is it possible? Beniitote? Hmmmm

What color does it fluoresce? It could be a stony that has been river worn. Stonys are hard to identify without the light. You can not mistake blue benitoites for anything because of their fire. The only way to be sure is to use the long wave UV like you did.
