Killed it with my first hunt of 2015. I dug 3 wheat cents today... TWO of them were 1909 VDB! Got two Indians 1899 and 1881. Hit a silver quarter pocket spill 1953 and 1941. But the coolest thing is the sweet MW Co. padlock.
I knew I had one 1909, but didn't know it was a VDB. Then I had a mystery wheat cent that I could just see the wheat ears on the back. When it came out of the peroxide bath and I saw another 1909 I couldn't believe it! Both were VDB cents.
The 1881 is worn smooth.

I've dug similar locks that are iron, with brass fittings. I put one through my electrolysis setup.... the iron came out awesome and the brass lost its deep green patina and was shiny new
How do you guys clean your padlocks without affecting the patina on old brass?
