Two Different Sites Today

Started out at a church at the edge of a pasture. Nothing but modern coins. A nice man drove up and asks what had I found. Told him not what I expected. He says he owns the pasture and then another one across the road with an 1800's log cabin/turned barn. He only had to ask once if I wanted to hunt there! Found the usual stuff and a nice little locket. Found an odd bullet. It has two holes near the bottom. First one I found like that. Why does it have the holes? Bottom reads Federal Special 38.

Nice Finds Nana!! That bullet is most likely a dummy bullet, the holes were drilled so it couldn't be filled with gunpowder again, they are sold alot at army navy stores
