This is my first day detecting since the ground has thawed. I was able to detect a yard from a home that dates back to 1790. The days events led me to my first Barber Quarter and my first Walking Liberty Half. They are both in great shape. I also grabbed a Merc while I was there. I know that neither is anything to write home about, but I was pretty excited. Thanks for looking.

Well, I was very excited. However, they don't really compare to most of the other finds I've seen on these forums. Some of the finds I've read of just blow me away. I can't wait to get back to that house though. Thanks for looking!

Nothing to write home about? I beg to differ on that point, those are some really nice finds, those coins all look to be in nice shape, congratulations to you and HH!

NICE DIGS :hello2:

I know how you feel landing your first walker, I got my first just a few weeks ago and was fortunate enough to have got a video clip of it fresh out of the hole

Don't underrate your finds. You did good!!! Real good!!! I can't remember finding all those types of silver in one day.
Don't compare to put yourself down. Do compare to get yourself properly ready and having done the proper research
for your next hunt. We all began finding bottle caps, pull tabs, and common coins......except for that chap in England
who...........but you don't want to know about that. You are doing fine. Research, research, research.
