Had the day off today rain was heavy in the morning didn't get out till 9:30 headed to my nickel field with light rain I didn't want to get the detector to wet seeing it not water proof in the two hours I was their I got a dateless V nickel a 1902 IH and a vintage 10k gold filled Lutheran Sunday school brooch pin, the school number is missing to all veterans out their thank you for all you have done for this great country and God bless you all... Funny reminds me of an old Wacky Packages card when I was a kid that was a take off on a box of Ronzoni macaroni shells...it was labelled "Run-Tony!" Shells (.38 cal.) :laughing7:

That poor nickel has been shot, stabbed and had a misspelled tramp stamp tattooed on it's reverse, but they are still fun to find, aren't they? WTG getting out.

yah OD i love finding old nickels, that nickel is 18?? it's sttting in olive oil now i may be able to get a full date from it...:dontknow:
