I was grounded this weekend due to being on weekend duty with the fire department...I could not leave town limits. I decided to reconcentrate my efforts on my side field for a day. I came away with several flat colonial buttons (two with markings) and a couple nice Nova Scotia Thistle tokens. The worn token is a counterfeit but the clear token is legit. This is the best condition coin that I have found on my property. They are usually like the Trades and Navigation token I posted last week...crusty and unreadable. When I found the button with the crown I immediately thought military but have since been told that this is not the case...still a nice find. Both buttons have "TREBLE GILT" printed under the shank.
Yesterday I got out for a group hunt to a location which had several dwellings to the 1700s. Really not much found but I did get the German lead seal. Thanks for looking!
