Found this in the front yard just about an hour ago. It's definitely a coin,no shank mark's what so ever. While cleaning this I noticed from an angle a bust of some kind. It's 17.4+/-mm and is only 1.0mm thick. This thing is worn to death.Any info would be great, thank's for looking.

I looks like an worn out wheat penny but I hope it is a rare coin. Thanks for sharing.

My Dad carried around a silver dollar as a good luck piece for so long that it wore down smaller then a 1/2 dollar so it's possible.

I still say wheat penny also...I've found one or two that were SUPER thin and smaller diameter than normal pennies. But I dunno, interesting tho!

Interesting....
Many times I've hoped for IH, then I see the shadow of that profile :laughing7:
sometimes still visible on paper thin salteaten cents..
I'm not sure, the head looks larger on your example :icon_scratch:

I know Herbie. For as long as the "wheaty" has been around, someone would have had to rub this thing(and the rim) for 100 yr.'s :laughing7: Just doesn't seem right to be honest.

Its clearly a penny. The diameter is worn down just like the rest of it.
