I've got a container of coins like that. They'll most likely be uncirculated. (Proofs come individually packaged in the round plastic containers.) If you do open your tube, wear a pair of gloves to handle the coins so that you don't get your fingerprints all over them. ;)

Better talk about the kind of gloves! On second thought, I wouldn't handle them. They'll be fine in the tube. :)

Nice coins. And 1988 was a better year mintage-wise, was it not? Or was that 1986...I forget.

Good point, buckleboy. :)

The premiums for certain years are largely negligible, except for the 1996 SAE, which sells for considerably more than other years.

Again, Silver American Eagles are great coins. You really found a nice little treasure!

The coins safely made it to my safe deposit box with a guesstimated value of about $400 Dollars.

I did not handle them, only looked at the date.

If i`m correct that series was first minted in 1986, thanks BuckleBoy.

The dime in the picture was the first silver dime i`ve ever found in my pocket change.

Thanks for everyones input.
