Anyone have any idea on the MFR or date of MFG Or just any info at all on this piece. It belongs to my GF, she bought it at a yard sale 7 years ago in her "tea pot collecting days" and is the only one she kept because of its uniqueness. It is 5" tall, and 5.5" front to back counting the spout. It is creme color with a crackle glaze and has the 4 digit # of 7362 on the bottom.

I can't tell you who may have made it, but I CAN tell you the "crackle glaze" is actually not a crackle glaze. It is called crazing. Crazing is due to a thermal expansion mismatch between body and glaze. As a piece of ware is heated and cooled during normal use, it expands and contracts. An incompatible clay and glaze usually means the glaze either immediately or eventually fails by crazing or shivering (the former being more common).
In essence, the pottery swells and the glaze shrinks, causing those tiny cracks you see in the glaze.
Nice piece though!
