US Combat Medical Badge, Sterling Silver Spoons, and Bottle Opener

Off on the weekend, I got to dig through some trash at the garbage dump. Found a sterling silver WWII Combat Medical Badge (Only awarded to medics who were performing their medical duties while simultaneously being engaged by the enemy. The award was created in January of 1945 and was retroactively awarded to people serving as far back as December 6th, 1941). Also found two Sterling spoons, both British made - Sheffield hallmarks for 1967. The silver bottle opener was also in with the spoons, the handle is made of sterling, the top is steel.

Here is my arrangement of pirate loot all shiny and cleaned up:

The hallmarks on the spoons (lower left) indicate they are Sterling, Sheffield-produced, and were made in 1967.

What a find. Goes to show some people don’t know what they have. I gotta log and teach the better half on it, otherwise she’ll be spending my coin collection at the Walmart, once I’m history. Congrats!
