Went back to a site with a buddy where I had dug a Fugio, counterfeit KGII, a CT Copper and a Draped Bust earlier in the month. After watching my buddy pull 4 coppers including a Vermont and Connecticut, several shoebuckle parts and flat buttons, I finally hit on the Fugio to add to my few buttons.

Deep Fugio. This is the second Fugio from this site!

Just prior to digging the Fugio, I had dug a strange looking button. I couldn't make out what was on it (need reading glasses). I showed it to my buddy as we where packing up to head out. When I saw a look of shock in his face I figured it must be something good. I was in shock to realize I had dug a USA button ! That's the first Revolutionary War relic I have dug. I am not going to clean it at this point.

Sweet Continental USA! Looks to be pretty solid, all the rim is there.

Way to go on both finds!! The button is awsome! My advice is to NOT clean the button at all. Pewter from the ground can be a bit touchy when it comes to cleaning.

"Another Fugio." Words I'm sure I'll never put together.

"A Fugio" would be a delight.

Congratulations!

Thanks T Netters. This is one of those "once in a lifetime" sites I think. Hopefully I can pull a few more goodies from it !
