The Aussie 50 cents piece is bigger than the dollar and the two dollar piece is smaller than the dollar, maybe if our coins, U.S. coins were like those we would have bigger finds here, since smaller coins are most times lost more often than larger.
Like those Roo coins.

I spent a week in Malta once and they were using the British system of currency at the time (1965). I never did figure it out! I would just hold out my hand with a bunch of their money and let them take what they wanted! No idea if I ever got ripped off? I was stationed in Libya at the time where they used piasteres....one million to the a American dollar. After a shopping trip to Tripoli, I had so many coins I could hardly keep my pants up! I traded all that for MPCs and got less than 5 bucks back! Monty

The Aussie coins put us to shame.

Bill W.

If your unhappy with the looks of our money I'd be happy to pay you fifty cents on the dollar Mexican currency.
Let me know.
