Has anyone heard of using sound to locate objects hidden behind walls? Thanks.

Yes and no. In some cases, you might find using infrared, or ultraviolet light to be useful, but ultrasound is being used to detect things hidden under clothing and may have some limited use through walls. From what I understand, that sort of thing is normally done with either millimeter waves, or microwaves, or some form of radar.

Here's some links you might find of interest.

I've confined my references to mostly hand held devices, because I happened to have these links handy.

Thanks F... this gives me quite a few links to research. The guy turning an old digital into an infrared camera is cool.
