Hunted a wooded area up in NH yesterday found only trash and modern coins.,So went back to old lot.Got a 1906 v nickel and another likely v nickel. If wet i can see a profile facing left with stars around it.Also got a gilded button and eyeballed a marble? Its man made what ever it is.Thanks for any info.Only real reason i even posted this.Would be my oldest marble ever i think.

From what I can tell from the small pic, the marble looks like it could be a fired clay marble from the late 1890's. That's my guess. Your 06 V nickel is in pretty good shape. Nice find!

I like finding those old marbles. I find them a lot of times in old bottle dumps that I happen upon.
