Sometimes when a blade was hafted, the one tang was sharpened down while the other was inside the handle.

The Delhi blade is another possibility, they were apparently halfted with a method that left only one blade edge usable and resharpenable... ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1460694896.220755.jpg

I did not personally find this. It was found in southern Illinois 3.5 long . Both the finder and I are kinda clueless on this one. My best guess is a variation of a tang knife . Any other opinions?

If you drew an imaginary centerline from the tip down thru the shank...and made a mirror image of the right half (center picture)...you'd can picture that the left half was damaged and repaired...to what you presently have...

An arrowhead re-purposed...
