Indeed! This is where U/W archaeology needs to go.

Venice is worth a visit for sure, I've been twice and plan on another soon. The maritime museum there is next to the naval base where vessels like this were produced VERY quickly. The island of Murano in the lagoon still produces some of the most beautiful and expensive glass in the world.
