But before I talk about that, I should talk about what didn't happen today. Police boat went by. Didn't bother with me today at all. I am hoping they got the message.

Now for the very rare find out here! Can you believe this? I was absolutely shocked. It was so far out in the middle of nowhere, It was probably dropped off a boat. Only the second or third one I have ever found out here.

Anyway. One war nickel 1942 S, merc, rosey and a Washington and three silver rings. One was 12th gold over silver. Nothing very exciting today. I did get a 1910 wheat. Ever see an aluminum key split in two? Not me.

pretty sweet finds, must be nice in that cool water instead of this sweltering heat. congrats

Any waders been out there, will likely head out there at some point in time, if only for the regular beach.

I am there 4 - 6 days a week Doug. Nobody has shown up all year yet, that I have seen. Water is very high and a wader can't get out very far. I don't even detect in 7' of water. I go out to 8' deep and way out to where I think the dock was. Still haven't found the slide ends that I know of.

Getting my boat in the water this week. Maybe will see you out there.

you aren't taking the boat there are ya ?

Man you always find the silver, nice job

Funny how the key delaminated? If you can call it that. Strange almost like it was folded and rolled for strength? Im on a car site that has a section called see how they rust (self explanatory) We need a section called see how they corrode!

No. Boat is going back into lake St. Clair

the rare ?

Rare is a clad dime. 1986. This beach was open from 1909 - 1963. The bath house held over 6 thousand people. It was used as a holding cell for the Detroit riots in 1967 and demolished in 1973.
So how this clad dime ended up out there is an absolute mystery. Had to have come off a boat. It was way out there. So not a rare find. Just absolutely rare where I hunt. In the year and a half hunting there this is the second or third clad I have discovered out there.

Man you always find the silver, nice job

When you have an underwater park as large as this that is a virgin place to hunt, kind of impossible not to run across it. The beach closed in 1963, so any coin you find will be silver, mostly wheats, and old nickels. Nobody has ever touched this place that I know of.
