Morning all. Picked up this vintage photo of a policeman standing in Kennedy Plaza in Providence, RI. I’m interested in the car in the background. Can anyone ID it?

Correction! Not Kennedy Plaza. The old building behind the car is “The Dorrance” and the policeman is standing in the intersection of Dorrance St & Middle St.

Looks like a New Yorker. The headlights, molding above the lights, roofline, and doors look like a similar 60’s New Yorker in our area that I did work on.

Unique license plate, 4444

Also that uniform on that police officer is pretty unique too. Notice the emblem on the sleeve with what looks like either something that hangs down or part of the same emblem sewn onto the sleeve. Plus his whole outfit seems to not fit all that well[emoji23]

I'm thinking the policeman is standing in the intersection of Dorrance and Weybosset. (right where this dark car is turning left)
One building towards the left, shows Middle more as an alleyway between the two buildings.
