I know nothing about coins.....
Does his statement that it is extremely rare because it is facing left have any validity ?? Or is that a common/standard piece ??

THEY ALL FACE LEFT! The guy is a B-O-O-B. Common dated KG II. He is charging more for the shipping than the coin is worth. And that IS NOT a mis-quote! The guys on the C-4 website are having a field day with this one! WACKY-EBAY!

I took advantage of the "Make An Offer" option... I think $10 seems fair enough for the "rarest British Coin on our Planet"

If I win, I will have the "greatest collection on the planet"!!! I'm SO EXCITED!!!!! :laughing7:

It's one thing to try to overvalue something trying to find a sucker who will pay it, or someone that really wants it, but that auction should be looked at the same way as a fake coin is, and cancelled. The sad thing is it probably works because there's no doubt fools that think I'll just offer $100 for fun, and once the offer is accepted they pay thinking it's only risking a hundred bucks on something that could be great. There's a LOT of people who buy and collect coins that don't really know much about what they're buying.

Funny but can happen! I have cost myself extra fees many times by not catching an error like that before hitting submit. It really ticks you off when it costs you a couple bucks because it's not worth the hassel to try and undue it. A few years back before Ebay got smart, you could revise and it would adjust the price... So the trick was you run the price high all week and if it didn't sell you revise to $9.99 and get almost all your fee back, then either cancel the item, or switch it to one you have that's actually $9.99. There used to be many ways to beat the system but slowly they caught on to each of them.
