When I go to garage sales, most weekends I go to village or town wide sales. That way, I get to visit 50 or 100 sales a week. The more sales the better. So, I go to a small town sale and visit 20+ sales. For the first time ever, I was completely blanked. Not a single purchase. So, I went to another community sale within a city and since it was late, there were very few people left. As soon as I walk in, this guys asks me to buy his bike rack. I say, I don't need one. He says, 5 dollars, I say fine, I'll take it. I bought a few other items from this guy on the cheap and then I saw a clear plastic bag with watches in it. The bag says 1 dollar per watch. I really didn't even see any of the watches but he said, give me an offer on the whole bag. I say, 3 dollars. He says sold. There were 8 watches. 4 of them are nothing. But the other 4 are intriguing. The last one, a Swiss Army, is really interesting, but I don't know what kind it is. What do you guys think? What is the Swiss Army watch called? Thanks:icon_king: IMG_2075.JPG IMG_2079.JPG IMG_2081.JPG IMG_2082.JPG IMG_2086.JPG IMG_2087.JPG

All of the watches are good... IMO... even the Pulsar.

Good luck with your fetching.

Congrats on a killer negotiation!!! Love the Victorinox, Swiss Army watch! The Howdy Doody watch might also get you a good deal especially if it's still running as that is an old, collector's item.

Wow great buy! Howdy looks a little devilish if you ask me. You should do well on all of the watches if you decide to sell.

If that's a real swiss you sure did a good deal! ( I don't know a lot about watches but i do know that swiss makes superb knives!)

Edit: Okay that swiss is most likely a fake one.
says "China" on it. But like i said, i don't know much about the swiss watches.

The Speidel band is marked China, not the watch.

Yeah, it is the band which is marked China. Of course, the band is broken. It is an Swiss automatic watch and I was able to get it working by moving it. Plus it is well marked. No one would fake a 400 dollar watch with that nice a replica. I am confident it is real. AARC gave a good link to the watch, the prices are for new ones, so this will not sell as well. The Howdy Doody watch does not work, so I will sell that as broken or for parts. It should still bring in 30 to 40. The Pulsar I just don't know about.:icon_king:

Then the question goes' who would use cheap 2 dollar parts on a real swiss? Doesn't make any sense to me. But this might be a good replica one tho.

Might be a 100 dollar replica you have. Still a profit and a good deal.

Not working... 10.

The 50 would be an Ebay guesstimate...

I personally do not know why someone other than a collector or someone who loved this particular watch years ago and wants a replacement would pay more than 20 for ANY watch that is used and of this nature.

To me...

The swiss army one would be gotten for 40.... and prolly take 30... and if I paid 1 dollar... 20 gets it.

I don't care... let someone else post it. heh
