water detecting

well went to the beach today on lake ontario western ny and made a sift can my 1st time in the water i found an old silver ring with a 2 carrot stone and a flattened penney with the ten commandments on it, would be nice if the stone is real but being set in silver i dought it ?anyone ever find a silver ring with a real diamond in it?,tammahawk

Congrats on the ring, how about some pics? I have owned (not found) silver rings with nice stones although not diamonds, I just happen to like silver as do many others!
