We finally had a chance between soocer practice and games to do a little Md'ing.....Finally

So we asked permission to search a local picnic grove. the owner said "sure go ahead I do, but I don't really find a whole lot". So that being said we decided to go and spend about 2 hours hunting the grove anyway.

We had a great time. We found our first half dollar 1971(although it's ugly, it said 50 cents on the VDI and it was), a 1945 nickel, a 1947 dime, a 1919 wheat, a sterling silver boyscout ring (another first), a boy scout thing (I can't remember the name), a whoseit, one whatsit, (2) bullets, about 25 golf tees, a knob, and about 1.25 in clad........So it was a good day

It's been a long time since we we're able to get out and hunt.

The sports are just about over until fall..........whew !

Thanks for looking, enjoy

He probably meant on TOP of the ground ;D

Nice finds..hopefully you can get out there again, you'll find more.

The slide you found is a Webelos neckerchief slide..it's the rank between Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts..I have a collection of Wolf Cub Scout slides but have only found 3 with the Webelos insignia in all my years of MDing.

Thanks for replies all..

We may have just gotten lucky on the area we picked.... We stayed away from the pavilions where I figured he looked.

Thanks Nat I couldn't remember Webelos.....I guess that's another first
