WESTERN MASS
I started out on Sat. car loaded, ready to detect............Got to the bottom on the driveway and on the swap shop heard "Whites" on the radio, my ears perked, detector only used 3 times, had the number dialed in lickety split....I hear on the radio, "Gotta go I have another call coming in." ;D I U turned, went home for the money, drove on up and got her! Ran out of time to go detecting, so we came back to the yard and compared the 3 detectors. I like the Whites, Ty likes the Ace, and Dan likes the Discovery. Perfect!

Sunday we have a BALL! Ty was tickled with the tractor part, Dan went to the "party" spot and caught the ear ring, the mini hand cuff, lead slugs, and clad, happy camper. I was thrilled with the Winchester, but the old bicycle plate mad me meager day! :D

The grass hoppers were everywhere, I got hit in the head 3 times, once right in the nose! :D This is the second time this year I got a picture of an Indigo bunting, 3 rd time in my life I saw one. :) The frogs were tiny, and real cute.

We really had some fun, Ty wasn't bored "helping". He got to do his own thing, we set him up with a digger, treasure pouch, his own detector (he likes the Ace) and he went to town! That's my buddy!

Enjoy the pictures!

A family that detects togeather finds the treasure togeather! Looks like you guys had a great time hunting and enjoying a beautiful day in wide open spaces! I haven't heard of a swap shop on the radio since i moved from Stuart Virginia> You can find alot of good bargains from them! How much you give for the whites? Curiosity kills another cat lol. HH Tom P.S. Won't be long till yall's son out hunts you both, course you probably already know that lol.

Country Girl.....Those are some great pictures. Your Ty is a cutie and looks like he had a great time. Your home looks like a great place to live! Love the birdy pics too! (I'm a bird watcher as well ) Good job on the earring and I love the bicycle plate. Great post.....Keep em comin!

I paid $150 for my new friend. :) Ty is actually My tenant Dan's kid, but we are treasure freaks together. My Hubby has diffrent treasure "techniques" he doesn't dig 'em, but aquires them. :D It works, for sure!

Moon, Ty is my best buddy! Kids like him I'd have a dozen of my own. Thanks for the great comments, really!

Looks like a great day!

Is that a corn field? ...and if so, is that the normal height? We have corn here but nothing like that!

Oooops, forgot to take a picture of the whites Joe. :-\

Yes that is the normal height of the corn, and yes Dan and Ty are normal height too. :D Here is a picture from last year.

Those are some cool pictures and it looks like y'all had a great time in the corn field. It amazing what kind of stuff you can find in the corn field, stuff I would have never thought of. Anyway I'm happy to see you all taking part in the hobby because spending time with the kids and family is what it all about and of course the best treasure of all, making memories.

Are you from Indiana? Might also explain the tall corn, Iam 6'7" and its taller than me!! I like the bicycle tag as well! Are the coins anything or just clad....didn't look like silver??? :)

Nope, from Mass. The weather has been good for the corn, but not other veggies. The heavy down pours beat them up pretty bad. Just clad on the coins, but still coins. :-\

I forgot to paste the info on the tag :P

Pope-Waverley was one of the brands of the Pope Motor Car Company founded by Albert Augustus Pope and was a manufacturer of Brass Era electric automobiles in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company was originally formed as the Indiana Bicycle Company in 1898 changing to the American Bicycle Company in 1900. In 1903 it became the International Motor Car Company before joining the Pope group in 1903. From 1908 until production ceased in 1914 they became independent again as the Waverley Company.

CG, I really enjoyed your post! That's what it's all about - enjoying the great outdoors and being with family/friends enjoying the hobby..nice pics as well, looks like a great place to be.

HH,
Nat

Kim, a new detector, getting out to hunt with your buddies, getting some photos of an outstanding beautiful Indio Bunting, walking amongst giant corn stalks, and yes, even some goodies from the ground. Yes you all had a great weekend!!

Don
