So, I checked the coinstar, got me a clad dime, sweet....
5 minutes later, I see an old timer staring at the coinstar, has a bag in his hand, confused look on his face....
I make it a point to see what's up, he says he's got $34 in halves, and some $2 bills....
He says, "I counted them, $44 total.....my poker winnings"
Wanted to get some spendable cash.....
I'LL BUY THEM OFF YOU RIGHT NOW SIR....I GOT $45 ON ME, LETS DO THIS.

The little plastic baggie showed old $2's.....I was quivering with anticipation.....
I get to my truck, pull out the folded wad.....BANG!!!

4 Red Note $2's from the 50's, and two blue note ones, oldest 1935!:headbang:

So I still haven't check the halves, I clear off the metal tray in my truck, close my eyes, and dumped them all....listening for the sweet tones is silver.....

EVERYONE OF THEM CLAD....
worse, everyone was a bicentennial.........:BangHead:

Even worse.....only $33.50 in halves...old fart got me for 50 cents....

So I'm happy with the old bills....better than anything I've pulled from the turf lately.

You had to do it, & I would have to. You just never know. It could have been the biggest score you ever made. At least you got some old paper out of it.

You should have told him "spendable cash" comes at a premium.... As if he wasn't standing there with perfectly spendable cash.....
