I have found lots of these over the years, but never one with a coin until today. The big one at the bottom had an 1862 IHP about 4" from it. It's only my second 1862 in 50 years!

Hi, my initial thought was something musical being a blues harp player myself, they looked like reed plates with the centres gone.
A search did show a number of organ reed plates that look very very much like those.
Im leaning very much towards that. The bottom one looks like something bent and broken off, the reed?

Congrats on the 1862 Indian !

From what I was told, there Reeds from Pump Organs or similar.
I've lost track of how many of them I've found around old houses.
I'd guess around 60 or 70 of them.
