So let's assume that our unknown author became fanatical about a treasure tale that had heard and believed to be true, when in reality it wasn't. According to his testimony contained his narration there is no doubt that he became fanatical over the alleged Beale tale, fully admitting that he had wasted away his life in pursuit of something that had only proved to be an illusion.
Now then, what if in a final act of desperation he decided to tell his readers of his pursuit and his belief in the otherwise unreal treasure by way of a simple pamphlet with the hope that someone might step forward with what he only believed to be real?

Yes it sounds too crazy, for sure, but why not as we have even witnessed this time and time again throughout history, men and even entire empires searching for various treasures that never existed at all? This same type of thing is still going on even today, men pursuing various treasures that they can't even prove to have ever existed...
The era of exploration of the "New World" was spurred on with the lure of fabulous treasure stories and that lure of "found wealth fever" has always attracted seekers of fortune, and is extremely hard to let it go.
Once it takes hold, there is always another maybe, could be that keeps the hope alive even though there is no evidence found that can confirm the tale.
But, then again, just maybe...

I think in recent days folks are coming to terms with the many deceptions and inaccuracies that exist within the Beale tale, an author obviously with little actual knowledge of the subjects he describes in both the alleged letters and in his narration, his personal knowledge of these subjects not going beyond basic generalizations and only "assumed" processes and practices, his assumptions being wrong in a great deal of his presentation. It's these same assumptions that have inspired much of what has been published and claimed about the Beale story over the years, only now are a lot of these false assumptions finally being put to rest.
While some assumptions are put to rest, more candles are always at the ready to be lit, and the Beale game begins anew.

Beale theories about the "real" story behind the Beale treasure story and Beale fiction novels based on "fact" keep popping up like a never ending game of WACK A MOLE !

I have learned a lot lately. All you have to do is let the facts hit you in the face instead of the thought of the treasure. I have researched many treasures. While you are researching you will find more leads to other facts and eventually you can see the whole picture. But the Beale Treasure is different every avenue of research comes to a dead end. I have tried every avenue and each and every one has come up with a DEAD END. When this happens there is no treasure to be found.
...and still some continue to force fit fabricate facts to serve as a foundation for spurious speculated speciously specimens of solution when facing that Beale cul-de-sac. :icon_thumright:

No don't have to. I have land deeds that he and his son owned in Kentucky near each other. Also their genealogy I have did not come from Ancestry.com which is a laugh and should not be allowed to charge people for free information that people gave them and over one half of it is inaccurate.

What! Like Wiki? Lots of Wiki has not been proved correct with "Facts".
Fact there was NO hidden Nuclear Testing in the South Pacific, but 60 minutes did an entire show on just that.
All they had to do was look in an Encyclepadia under Polii (Spelling may be incorrect) or the Burial place of the 1st Japanesse Marines.
20 cubic miles of concrete to bury them. The only time Sea Bees had Marine guards on the dozers as they leveled the ground before pouring the concrete.
Quick Lime (from sea shells) and sand from the beachs to make the concrete. Only during a war could it happen.

Well one thing we have learned, if someone questions or asked for any provenance on one of these creative solution or story claims, a cry of "personal attack" is raised as a defense of their lack of actual solid documented facts.

...and that recently has become very evident, especially when information posted as fact is shown not to be accurate.

A lot of information that is posted as fact is posted as fact because the finder of that information refuses to give you that information, you then believe it not to be fact because we do not give the information that verifies that fact. Is that the way you see things.

If that is the case where is your Celeste Grandpre Diary. Show it to use. We said it was not fact because you did not post it. That is the same thing you are doing to other posters on this forum. You say everything is not fact because they do not freely give you the information that proves that fact. All right if you want us to play facts along with you, let us see the Celeste Grandpre Diary right now.

I know I stated that it was not or ever was in my possession, but still may be in a private collection in Rickerville, La.
With your claimed acumen of boots on the ground research, it should be a very easy task...
...but it really doesn't matter, for it has been established many times over by you and others, that her husband, Thomas Beale, was not the Thomas J Beale character of Ward's 1885 Beale Papers dime novel pamphlet.

A lot of information posted as fact and refusal to verify is because it was speculation posted as fact and there never was a source to verify outside of the poster's imagination.
