I'm assuming this is a type of agate but I've never seen this color and design before. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1427831583.313497.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1427831598.844070.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1427831614.495314.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1427831628.846475.jpg

My initial thought was Howlite, but from the rough structure I'm thinking a large Dendritic Agate.

No idea where it came from. I got it from the son of a gemologist.

Certainly has some character. Like BB I make the call that its an agate similar to moss agate due to the dendrites. The dendrites formed along the boundaries of the quartz materials... almost look to be minor geodes though mostly filled. I think it would make a handsome sphere or nice slabs.
