What kind of jewelry is this?

It looks like a necklace but it has no ends like you cannot connect it to itself. It's just a long strand and then it has two stones at the end of it. I've seen these before but I have no idea what to call it isn't something for a scarf? Do you just throw it over your shoulder and call it good? Like I guess what was the name of this thing be?

That style is called Lariat and the wearer can let both ends hang free or they can loop it in any way and place they choose. Search ebay for lariat necklace.
