What kind of vehicle do you drive? Do you drive a different vehicle at work? What's the best/worst car you've ever had? What was your first vehicle.
For me, currently a 99 Chevy S-10. No other vehicle for work. Same one.
Best was a 75 Ford Gran Torino w/351ci.Sweet ride. Worst was a 79 Subaru Brat. I was forever changing clutches, CV joints and brakes....sheesh!
And my first vehicle was a 1964 Honda 305 Dream w/ scrambler front end. I was 16 and had just got my license. I'd ridden a bicycle all spring and summer to my job and saved up to pay CASH! Very good lesson for a young man.

Very first motor vehicle: 1960 Olds convertible. Then, in order of ownership:
--1957 Chevy 2dr. hardtop. Bought in summer, 1966 for $811 (one owner)--sold 1967 for $200.
--1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 w/ 4spd (bought new after 'Nam)
--1964 Corvair Monza 2dr w/4sp
--1966 Chevy Bel Air
--1973 Buick 2dr hardtop
--1963 1/2 Ford Galaxy 500XL fastback w/ buckets, 4spd on console, 406ci with dual quads.
--1969 Plymonth Roadrunner w/ 4sp
--1972 Plymonth Roadrunner w/ buckets, auto on console
--1956 Ford 1/2 ton small window pickup with Chevy 327 small block and 4sp Muncie.
--1976 Ford F150 pu with 4sp, 4whl drive (drove this one to Alaska in Dec. 1976 from Mississippi to Fairbanks via Alcan)
--1969 Plymonth Satellite 2dr hdtp, 318ci with auto.
--1976 DodgeCharger
--1979 Chevy 1/2 ton
--1976 Dodge Charger (a second one)
--1963 Ford 1/2 ton PU,straight 6cyl, 3spd floor conversion.
--1978 Dodge 1/2 ton 4whl drive pickup
--1976 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup with 6cyl, 3spd on column. This is the one I'm currently driving because it'll be here as long as NAPA Auto Parts stays in business. It's a short wheelbase, step side. NO COMPUTERS!!!!!

Had the most fun with the 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. Was a factory hotrod. The toughest was the 1969 Plymonth Satelite because it never let me down in 3 years of driving around Fairbanks, Alaska--except for overheating one night in 40 degrees below zero temps and the time I had to change the starter in the parking lot of our on-base quarters in 10 degrees below zero temps. :laughing7: She was tough and I wish I still had "her".

WOW! I would love to have had ANY car or truck from the 30's-50's! When I was a kid, I built cars, too. Except they were the plastic "Revel" models. Each one created with love, and all of them from the 20's to the 50's. The most "exotic" car I've ever owned was a 1964 Austin Healy Sprite....being restored. Never completed. Something to do with a divorce....but I digress.

Most "fun" car was a '41 Chevy with a 398 Chrysler Hemi and '57 Desoto push-button Torqueflight tranny. It was a "Sleeper". Looked completely stock , hubcaps and all, except there were slicks on the back, a tach on the dash and it had T-Bird bucket seats in front. There wasn't any room left under the hood for the battery so it was mounted under the passenger seat. The firewall had to have a chunk cut out of it to make room for the distributer. Kicked some Corvette and Firebird butt with that car. :icon_thumleft:

Fried the tranny in the F-150 and cost more to fix than its worth...so I donated to Kars 4 Kids...they picked up at no cost...gave me a tax write-off plus a bonus of 3 nites hotel stay at over 50 or so major cities in the USA...

The El Camino is an 1984 with less that 93000 actual miles...have all records from date of birth to this morning...belonged to a 92 year old gentleman who drove it to the corner liquor store for cigs and a bottle...his kids had California DMV pull his license last year about this time, so I bought it...near-perfect body and interior...original paint...always maintained and runs like a clock...uh, well...a chebby on steroids...

My two favorite cars. My first NEW car was a red 1967 Chevelle SS396 Super Sport. It had everything that I wanted at the time, red, black vinyl top, black bucket seats, dual exhaust, power windows, 4 speed. Of course I put glass packs on it, until the noise drove me nuts.

My 2nd and equally favorite was a burgundy 1986 Nissan 300ZX Turbo Coupe. Boy... I sure miss that car and wish I had it now. It was a beaut. Sorry no pictures...

Drove Jeep Grand Cherokees from 1993 till 2007. Now driving a Nissan Murano.

Typical Texas redneck vehicle according to my wife... :icon_scratch:

This picture was taken during a microwave radio frequency contest (amateur radio). I told people who asked about the antennas that I was tracking dolphins... I was on top of the parking garage in Frisco, TX, about 400 miles from the coast! :tongue3:

The biggest waste of my money... '76 Dodge Van, I bought new and had towed to the scrap yard around the 60K mark.
