I'm not sure if it was Alexander Pope that wrote, "Every young man considers that his first love was his last, and every man's last love he considers was his first."

My first love was a 1968 Chrysler Newport Custom, 440 cid, 4 barrel, 4:11 gears and a 4 door. (Made about 8 miles to an Imperial gallon.)

I still love that car.

I was the only kid in my very rich high school to drive a dump truck to school.
A girl friend was given a Jaguar XJ-12 for her 16th birthday, but it was a year old.
When I drove it, took 90 degree corners at 50 mph.
My truck was a 1939 Dodge with a 4 speed front and a 2 speed rear transmission.
It would take 25 mph corners at 20. HAHAHA
Dump box worked fine.
I was 17 yrs. old , been driving since I was 14.
Got a good deal on it $75. Dumb me sold it for $300.
