What kind of whale?

My grandmother gave me this whale tooth today. Her father gave it to her when she was a child. Do you guys know which kind of whale it belonged to?

It's a sperm whale tooth. Whales are protected, so it would be smart to get a note from your g'mother outlining the provenance as an antique. Keep the note with the tooth as insurance for any eventuality.
