What will a titanium ring register (VDI) on a detector?

I have a friend who lost a titanium ring but I have no idea where it would read on my White's VDI scale. Has anyone had any experience with these types of rings? Thanks.

Guess not too many people have access to titanium rings? I have titanium bolts and screws holding my back together but my detector don't have a VDI meter. Otherwise I would run it over my back and tell you! I hate air travel because my back sets off the handheld metal detectors! JIM

LOL Jim! I had the same surgery. Do you have your card that lets you pass go and collect the $200? The doctoer gave me mine a little while after the surgery. It comes in handy when explaining why you're naked and still setting off the detector!!

I just scanned my wedding band on the surface. My wife would kill me if I buried it. On my DFX I get a VDI of +08 every time. Hope this helps you out........Happy Hunting Chris
