We're all treasure sickos and the same day this went down about 50 members would start their own forums. The most popular member would win and it would be the same old great thing all over again.

Finding, and testing each of those fifty sites to evaluate which one was best would be the problem.

Marc, could you send me a backup copy of T-net in it's latest form, just in case!........... :)

Actually I think there would be many serious cases of keyboard withdrawal, and a whole lot more work accomplished across this great nation!......... Nah, we be hunting some other location to spend our time rather than actually do that four letter word.

Yeah, I don't even want to think about that happening. We all know that there's too much valuable THing info on this website to ever attempt to emulate it. If this were the case though, there's enough of us on Facebook now to either merge together onto a new forum, or at least try to start something of our own. It would still be a really sad day if we ever lost this site. :'(
I'd definitely be willing to try and host my own server here though if a new site needed to be created.

Go for it Bran...see what happens. It wouldn't hurt to have a backup site, just in case.

True, I know what you mean. I'd probably wait until something like that actually happened before I attempted to create a site.
I'll just hope that nothing happens to this site, 'cause I really like it here. If it did ever happen, I'll do all I can to get as many of us together as possible. There's so many on here that are like a second family for me...

I don't even want to think about it...that day, if it ever happens would leave a void in the metal detecting community that would be difficult, if not impossible to fill.

I would probably start writing the book that I have been writing notes on.
