Re: What's For Dinner?

Got a nice avocado (and other goodies) from Jaemor Farms....

http://www.jamsjellies.com/

Gonna make some tacos, with my own home-made smoky chipolte hot sauce, fresh diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese and put some guacamole on the whole mess! Yummy!
Deep fry some tater tots, a nice big jalapeno pepper(or two), a big glass of sweet tea, and ice cream and fresh sliced peaches for dessert!

Best, Y'all,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

Thank You to my Dear Friends...

I'm feeling better...
Had my first cookout of the year on the grill tonight.

Bacon wrapped filet, baked potato with butter and parsley, green beans, a big 'ol "gonna hurt you, boy" (I'll pay for it later, you can be assured) jalepeno pepper and a glass of sweet tea with a plum for dessert.

Cooked up several filets...y'all come! Might run short on the taters, though...maybe RSVP?
Tired of waitin' on the maid....don't worry about plates. I got a buttload of disposable plates! HA! :headbang:

I got a nice big ham for this Sunday dinner. I'll also have some green beans, some homemade cheddar cheese biscuits, some homemade(not box) mac and cheese and for dessert, well, Easter Candy, I guess! :laughing7:

Hope all have a blessed Weekend!

Scott

PS. I'll try to post pics...I'll have plenty to eat for all; bring something to drink. I have sweet tea, but if you want soda, bring some over...

I had an agreement with my wives: I cook gourmet meals, you clean the dishes. Worked OK. I was in charge of kitchen decisions...
Love was another issue of which I was NOT in charge of.......

Re: What's For Dinner?

Put that big ole ham in a deep sided cookie sheet, poured some pineapple juice over it, packed brown sugar on the top and the sides, placed pineapple chunks all over it, covered it loosely with aluminum foil, popped it in the oven @325 for an hour and a half. Baste about every 30 minutes...
Made the cheese biscuits, some green beans and WOW!
The pineapple chunks were "caramelized" and sweet!

dinner 003.jpg

That piece of ham is almost 2 inches thick!

I finally hit my high water mark with only a few bites left.

Got tons of leftovers if anyone's in the neighborhood...

(note to self...get bread for a week's worth of ham sandwiches)

Best Wishes,
Scott
