What's the difference between Sovereign XS & Gt? And what price is an XS worth paying?

the difference is about 10 years
And an option or 2

$450 I think is average for an XS on Ebay
depending on extras with it

Personally Id Wanna Pay $300

But just sent mine for repair
& Insured it for $600

I Never used the GT
may be a little better Balanced then the XS

not sure on Weight.

there are several XS's

XS , XS2 no Meter, XS2 Pro has Meter
XS2a has Extra Toggle for Tone/no tone (I think)
may also be an XS2a Pro :P

sorry Weight is the only Drawback to me

But I Think all sovereigns may be the same in weight

Oh well, I hope I got a good deal. I just paid $364 including shipping for an XS a few minutes ago on ebay with the hipmount. I've been reading all of the good things about the GT and hopefully this works as well. I read the GT's are going up to $1000 on January 17th.

it should do you Good.

I Havn't heard anyone Claim better depth with the GT

Iron Mask On/Off, Silent Search/Threshold and Ground Balance Switch (Track/Fix/Pinpoint) are the major differences

The XS is one of the better Sovereign's.I have used the entire line up including 2 GTs.I think the Sovereign XS is a great coin jewelry detector for older worked parks excellent depth and ID.Good base value without the extras $350.00.Get a meter when you can.The Sovereign may not be able to tell silver from copper,but the Sovereign with a meter can tell the difference from an IH,zinc and early Wheats.Good Luck HH Ron

I do not know what amp you are talking about, but the insite digital meter is made by Joe Patrick, Joe is the maker of the Patriot meter which is the best meter ever made for the sovereign. I have one myself, it is fantastic, but it is no longer made and harder then hens teeth to find one for sale. One of the great features about the Patriot meter is it is lighted, you can hunt in the dark if desired and still read the meter......

If your hunting land and you want a meter, Joe Patrick's is the one I would buy, since he no longer makes the Patriot, the In-site would be my choice, if anyone can make a top of the line meter for the Sovereign it is Joe Patrick.

LOL, any time. We have over 50 orchids at the moment. They are beautiful when blooming, but a pain the butt when the temperature drops to freezing or lower, I have to cover all that are in pots, and bring in all the hanging ones. Some are over 5 foot tall with the hanging roots, they hang over our garden tub till temperatures return to above freezing....
