My fastest would have been my 2002 Corvette.
My 2012 300C isn't to shabby either.

I drove a friends AMC Javalin,1970 something, got it up to 150mph for about 30 seconds, out on I-10,in west Texas, before I hit a deer,or maybe it hit me,I don't know.I just remember hitting something and the next minute the windshield had deer parts and BLOOD everywhere.I somehow kept the car on the road and was able to stop.It didn't break the windshield and my friend & I kind of laughed about it and then we both really laughed when we realized we both pissed in our pants:laughing7:

That would have been my front engine dragster. 7.90's all day long at 165 MPH , it was like the ultimate carnival ride , sitting between the rear tires and over the rear end with your feet right next to the transmission gives you a feeling unlike any other car I have ever driven ( and I have driven more than my share of cars for sure ) . it was fun while it lasted. Finally gave it up after tracks started closing and expenses started to rise.
So I figured instead to try kart racing ; now between my son and myself we have 6 karts and love it. Not nearly as fast but we can do it together and enjoy doing it.

I red lined at 170 mph (273 km) on my Ninja several times, when I was young and stupid.

2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 doing 165 mph. I bought a `65 Mustang from a guy in Kansas in April. We went to his bank in his Challenger to see if the deposit had cleared. On the way back we got passed up by a Charger doing over a 100. He caught up to him and passed him up pretty quick, and kept on going until the sunroof started to lift out. He said the tires cost $500 each.

My wife has a 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan. Got it up to 140 on the Outer Banks of NC last October. Still had more in her, but I backed off, no visibility w/ dunes either side of you, got a little scared. Wife was pissed.

My last car was a Porsche GT3, it could easily do around 200mph, but I never went that fast. I love spirited driving but I am not looking to die anytime soon. Now I drive a VW GTI and a Honda VFR800, neither go *very* fast, but definitely fast enough. Stay safe!

Or drove in..
Mine was my housemate's 1980 Alfa Romeo Spider. He use to buy, rebuild, and sell them.
He lent this one to me for two weeks over Christmas break. It was assembled for the European market and shipped here. I scared the @#$% out of myself the first time I drove it. In third gear I was doing 85 mph. You couldn't get it into 4th gear without going over a hundred. I never did see 5th gear. I maxed out at 115 on Montauk Highway Hampton Bays.
Fun, but scary, and very stupid.

The thread title is What's the fastest car you ever drove? not how fast did you go.

Mine is my brothers totally stock 2009 ZR1 Corvette. In 2010 he drove this car at The Texas Mile event and clocked 181.1 MPH at the end of a mile from a dead stop.

I drove it on a narrow 2 lane farm road outside of Corpus Christi. Second gear was good for over 100 and that was good enough for me.

Cars are to slow ,its way cheaper ao go fast on 2 whells . My bike does 100 mph in 1 st gear and 192 mph out of the box unless you have 1000 hp its no real contest .. BMW S-1000 rr pulls whellies at 143 in 4 th gear without trying .
