I actually don't use a pinpointer, I tried some but in the end, experience is my pinpointer

I got a free one from Kellyco and it's pretty cool. I didn't vote, because it's the only one I've ever used.

I have only used 4.... the merlin, the vibraprobe, the big LONG one from kellyco (cant remember the name)& the old white's bullseye.
I own the vibraprobe & bullseye.?
For me :
1.the merlin was too small
2.the one from kellyco was way too GIGANTIC
3. the vibraprobe interferes with my metal detector's signal, is a bit too big,and the method of turning it on & having to wait for it to turn off (so it doesnt interfere with my metal detector) is just not for me.
I prefer the bullseye. I put a clip (from an old tape measure) on the back so i could easily remove & replace it ( on the edge of my jeans pocket) while metal detecting & also replaced the green led with a white one to act like a little flashlight. I have used it the longest & despite it's tendency to occassionally false.... i prefer it.
