You could try some local public parks in your area or on weekends hit the public schools tot lots etc. Some really useful tools to use is google earth, local library, historicaerials.com, and there's a few more I can't think of at the time lol Some good research could land you some awesome places to hunt you just need permission from the owner. Best of luck and happy hunting!!

Look up the Dayton diggers they are your local club. There are a bunch of old farm steads in your area and the land owners are more likely to give permission before they plant. GL

WELCOME TO T-NET! :hello: One reason libraries are so helpful is that most libraries have a collection of pamphlets or books written by local authors about the local scene going back a hundred years or more -- this can help lead you to likely places that no longer have the original buildings on them -- or never had buildings, like fairgrounds, church picnic areas, swimming holes. Look for old foundations around your town! And libraries often have old local newspapers in one form or another that clue you in to events where people were likely to lose things. HAVE FUN! Andi

Welcome to Tnet start with your own yard first. Then ask every old house owner you can it's a 50/50 shot? Nothing ventured nothing gained!! Good luck and happy hunting.
