Just got two pinpointers in hand.
The Garrett Propointer and Minelab Profind.

Both have pulse rate of alarm when you get closer to a metal object.
Both is the washable construction.
Even the length is pretty close.
So, anyone knows who is the first one released on the market?

If you need a nice mount for your pinpointer, you can search on ebay for my mount.:hello2:

I'd bet garrett has a majority of the market share for pinpointers. I love mine. Made in USA and less expensive. Win/Win!

According to Garrett History Page, the Pro-Pointer was introduced in 2008. I have a pair of Pro-Pointers from spring of 2010, now a must have part of my kit.

Neither one was first "on the market". There are others with similar, and in some cases, better features, depending on search conditions and the actual design of the pin pointer.

I recently purchased a Propointer and know one other person who did so also. We both had issues about a week after getting them. I am too stubborn to send mine back. They other guy was treated very well by Kellyco about it. I did not use Kellyco lol. They are built like tanks on the outside, so I am sad to see such a great little tool fail.
