While I was spending time with the family, my brother and a friend got in a few hours before the rain. Same permission property where we have found several coins from 1845 to 1945. Our friend got this today

Tilt it to the right and you can see the Liberty cap and the face.

Can anyone identify the type or read the date. It is a quarter size. My eyes see 17? Any way, we now have a nice older coin!! And while I was away uuggh!

Lol I wrote that wrong. I meant liberty on the top. I wish it was a liberty cap large. That would make it even better! I am still away and they are sending me pictures.
