My MXT VDI reading for small "picker" nuggets, show "foil" and +12 to +14. Was wondering about large nugget readings. Anyone? Thanks!

My gold wedding band reads a solid 14. A gold coin will read around 53. I'd say that's the range you'd be looking at. Maybe Grubby will be along to give you a better idea.

My 14K Wedding ring is 37 last year I found a 1816 Gold coin that it at 18-20 I found a ring the other day that hit at 14 that was a 10k ring..
but 24k gold no idea.. sorry..

Mine shows same, but larger nuggets about the same and depends on depth. Best to dig all signals. Where do you reside? Might be interested in detecting with you sometime.
