On my vx3 when I use hand held pin pointer I put machine into menu mode no sound to headphones. Just bought MXT ALL PRO omg no easy way to get no sound to pro star headphone. Some day whites will put a on/off switch on them. my options: take em off ,No. Turn Both Volume controls off ,No. Touch threshold or gain , NO (re ground issues???) sunray probe will work for sure but I'm thinking something along these lines ( hope hyper links show up I been foxed if you know what I mean)
Mounting options hard mount, velcro, or something

1. Inline single channel volume control
http://www.sescom.com/product.asp?item=SES-MKP-31
1. Right angle cable plug I'm sure can be found anywhere
Update use this cable matches headphones

I think it will work hum in headphone when using handheld pinpointer just not gonna happen. thinking of getting a bigger knob for volume control ( less travel )turn toward coil back to work
Does anyone else not like sound in headphones when using a handheld pinpointer ? Any MXT/ PROSTAR headphone users come up with a solution

Plug cable into machine to volume control / plug headphones into volume control

Well the mxt all pro comes with 9 inch spider coil ,10 DD coil ($250) PROSTAR headphones ($119) $599 vs $849 I bought it because now all coils will fit on my vx3 and mxt pro. Mxt pro is a little more advanced than the mx5. and has knobs which is easier than menu based ( for a beginner) so I can use the advanced specs for me, and set it up as a beep = good target for a beginner. 10 minutes of instructions and send the beginner out to find a couple repeatable targets and mark them than we get into pinpointing ,3 S's ,digging, hand held pinpointer etc, etc. I know how I felt when I dug up my first worthless coin WHOO HOOO!! You will grow out of your machine and get another more advanced machine. but that mx5 will create a new hunting buddy ok I now see you have the v3i also than the beginner gonna grow out of the mx5 ok brother I'm uniformed civil service

Bullseye pin-pointer has no vibrate. Well what do you know it has vibrate. not like I got a manual when I bought my detector from whites also got no manual with PROSTAR headphones. I could read the box guess it like treasure hunting when you find out what your stuff does.
