Maybe you should just wave your metal detector over your wifes purse when she gets home from work, and tell her YOU found some silver? I'm sure she won't mind. ;D
-MM-
P.S. I need a job like hers. ;D

Have you ever hit the old parks in your town? If so, what did you find?

Our parks are detected pretty hard. I did find a Buffalo Nickel and a few Wheaties. Guess they didn't get them all. Clad count for four months is over 1100 coins. Still no silver coins. I did get three silver rings.

The ground is so dry and hard right now that it is hard to dig.

Which parks have you hit before? The reason why I ask is because I have found numerous old coins in the parks in Williamsport last year. I have relatives in the town, so when I visit, I will detect in the local parks.

My finds from Way's Garden (2006):
-14 Wheaties
-12 Indian Heads
-2 V-nickels
-4 Buffalo nickels
-1736-1795 Chinese cash coin
-1944 Mercury dime
-1912 Barber dime
-1853 Three-Cent silver piece
-18K woman's ring

Brandon Park finds (2006):
-3 Indian Heads (1859 found in Bandstand area)
-1875-S Seated Liberty dime (found in Bandstand area)
-14K woman's ring
-10K men's ring

If you ever find clad near bushes, that is probably from me. I toss them there. I probably shouldn't, but they just weigh my pouch down. :D

I have hit most parks except Ways Garden. Have found some wheaties and silver rings and a silver locket, but no silver coins yet.

I have never hit Ways Garden because I heard it was off limits. I have asked other detectors in the area and they tell me that it is OK to detect there. I would love to detect all the old mansions around Ways Garden. That area is known as Millionaires Row. It dates back to the days when Williamsport was lumber capitol of the world.

If you are ever in Williamsport, PM me and maybee we can get together.

I have never had any problems detecting Way's. Actually, I have had several city workers ask me what I was finding and bullsh*t with me. I even had state troopers drive by and none have stopped. I once heard that Peter Herdic lived in the mansion that was once on the property. I think he may have dropped the 1853 3-cent piece I found there.

Will do, dude.
