woke up this morning feeling like death warmed over :(
got my balance & Staggered into the kitchen and made myself a Cup of Death Wish Coffee.
come over here & turned on my Computer.
By then my coffee was ready. so I stagger back out, Fill my cup,
and come back over here. and start drinking.
Now I make my Coffee Very strong. and as I'm drinking I'm thinking I'm going to have to Double up on the Grounds next time. tasting like water :(
I decide to go look in my Coffee Pot.
I never put any Grounds in :( :dontknow::BangHead: sitting here drinking Hot water :( I'll never wake up.

Ya know, Jeff? I just remembered one that I did back a short time ago. I think it one-up's yours. I put my cup in the microwave to make coffee, ran it for a couple mins. When I went to take it out I noticed that I hadn't even put any water in the cup!

Lately I have been thinking of changing from using water in coffee maker...

To Redbull or Rockstar.

You know what the worst part of a coffeepot "overflow"...
The damn cleanup...

Its bad enough that you are half asleep and waiting around groggy... only to start again from scratch...
BUT...
Before you can start over...
You have to dump and clean it all.
OR...
You will have coffee with "texture". heh

LOL JeffofPa I feel your pain! I've been staying up nights with our 13 month son. I get up this morning, all out of it, take a shower, go to brush my teeth, and awful taste! My dumb*** Put hair jell on the tooth brush instead of toothpaste! My wife thinks it was the funniest thing and really hurt my self esteem by the names she was calling me and laughing! :laughing7:I wasn't going to tell anyone. So, I thought I'd tell you after reading your thread! I won't tell anyone else though!

And why can't they make a coffee pot that doesn't run down and dump all over the counter when trying to fill a cup? Am I the only one with this problem?

Agreed 100%...

You would think that in thousands of years of pouring crap...
We would have the "spout" perfected by now. :/

My coffee pot has a timer. I make the coffee (correctly) the night before and set the "delay brew" option. Make sure the clock is set correctly. You get up....coffee is waitin' for ya!!

Twice in the same month I was on a coffee pot roll.

1. Most times I make the coffee before bedtime and hit the timer. Well I didn't awhile back. Got up, filled up pot with fresh water and started to pour into maker. Water went everywhere.... somebody else set pot up but didn't hit the timer switch. Had to move everything everywhere to clean up all the water.

2. Set pot set up night before and hit timer switch. All set to go! Heard the coffee maker making coffee on time next morning. Then heard the gurgling sounds when also done. And it went on and on and on. Finally got up to look. I didn't get the glass pot under the filter opening properly. COFFEE, WATER AND GROUNDS WERE EVERYWHERE! What a mess and it took forever to clean up all the grounds off the heater plate.

But Jeff... your not the only one to forget the grounds. My wife did it awhile back when she told me... "I already made up the pot, Brad". Next morning a pot of hot water only and a used empty filter....!

Ok I decided...
This post made me think...

Screw making coffee with water and such...

From now on...

I will snort lines of coffee grounds.
